Sewer Pegout: Locating and detailing the Sydney Water assets within the development area

A Service Protection Report enables the accurate plotting of Sydney Water assets onto your building plans which will then determine if your development area is within the Zone of Influence (ZOI) and if there would be any potential for damage or stress to these pipes during construction.

Process of a Sewer Pegout

A Sydney Water accredited and trained sewer pegout technician from All Line Plumbing will attend the site. The technician will then use the latest equipment to accurately locate the sewer main and any other Sydney Water assets within the proposed development area. A sewer pegout report will then be prepared detailing the information collected.

Your Sewer Pegout Report

This report will generally outline the location and environment of the existing Sydney Water asset and details information such as the pipe type, depth, service of the asset (sewer, water, stormwater), size, structure and strata which the asset is laid (such as clay, sand or rock).

If your development is inside the ZOI: a design detailing the steps needed to protect the Sydney Water asset will need to be developed in accordance with the Sydney Water standards. A Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC) may also be required to form the application using the development plans in conjunction with the sewer pegout report.
