All Line Plumbing WebsiteA Pegout Report is a requirement set by Sydney Water if you are proposing to build over or near a Sydney Water asset.
The sewer and water infrastructure in and around Sydney are an asset owned by Sydney Water and it is their responsibility to ensure that these sewer and water pipes are protected against any kind of damage.
A Pegout Report will be required in obtaining an approval before you begin any construction.
A Section 73 certificate is Sydney Water's confirmation that you have and will construct works in accordance to the relevant Australian Standards and certifies that the development has the correctly sized sewer and water mains available for connection.
You may need a Section 73 Certificate if your development or subdivision will impact on any of Sydney Water's assets, such as water or sewer mains as the Sewer Pegout may show the potential for damage and may require the asset to be protected (eg. concrete encasement).
You do not need a Section 73 Certificate if you are building a house which is replacing an existing dwelling or altering/extending a house, but we always recommend getting your building plans checked by Sydney Water.
Most developments in and around Sydney will affect Sydney Water assets (water and sewer systems) and therefore will require a Section 73 Certificate.
Asset Construction Drawings are usually completed by Sydney Water once they have laid new pipes. These will show where the assets are in relation to the street and property boundaries. These are usually required if any construction or excavation is to take place, or if we need to connect to the Sydney Water assets.
These diagrams can be purchased through the Sydney Water Tap in website.
Supply System Diagrams show the location of the Sydney Water pipes and how the water supply system serves a particular property within a building development.
These diagrams can be purchased through the Sydney Water Tap in website.
The Zone of Influence (ZOI) is the area above and beside an asset where loads will have an impact on the sewer or water main.
