Sewer Pegout Reports: Locating and detailing the Sydney Water assets within the development area.

A Service Protection Report enables the accurate plotting of Sydney Water assets onto your building plans which will then determine if your development area is within the Zone of Influence (ZOI) and if there would be any potential for damage or stress to these pipes during construction.

Process of a Sewer Pegout

An accredited and trained sewer pegout technician from All Line Plumbing will attend the site to accurately locate the sewer main and any other Sydney Water assets within the proposed development area.

Using specialised equipment, the technician ensures precise mapping of all underground infrastructure while adhering to strict safety and Sydney Water compliance standards, helping to avoid costly mistakes during construction.

Once the information is collected, it is passed to our reporting expert, who prepares a comprehensive sewer pegout report detailing the location of all assets and any relevant observations. It’s important to note that the specific steps involved may vary depending on the site, property type, and other factors, ensuring each report is tailored to the unique requirements of the project.

Your Sewer Pegout Report

This report will generally outline the location and environment of the existing Sydney Water asset and include details such as:

  • the pipe type
  • depth
  • service of the asset (sewer, potable water, recycled water, stormwater, or easements)
  • pipe size, and
  • the structure and strata in which the asset is laid (such as clay, sand, shale, soil, or rock)

If your development falls within the Sydney Water Zone of Influence (ZOI), a design detailing the steps required to protect the asset must be developed in accordance with Sydney Water standards.

A Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC) may also be required to assist with your application, reviewing building plans and ensuring the sewer pegout report and development plans meet all necessary documentation requirements. WSCs are listed providers through Sydney Water and can be found via their website.
